Baseball round-up: Vikings go back to work Saturday after Storm loss on 105.1 The GOAT

Some of the area's baseball teams will use Saturday to get some extra at-bats after a busy Friday.

 

Gibraltar/Washington Island found themselves on the short end of a true pitcher's duel on Friday, falling to Kewaunee 2-1. The Vikings will head to Crivitz for a twinbill on Saturday morning, playing the host Wolverines at 9:30 a.m. before playing Wrightstown at 11:30 a.m. The Wolverines are 9-6 on the season, throttling Wausaukee 20-3 on Monday. The Tigers are 9-5 with a 7-6 win over Marinette in their last game. Coverage of the game will air on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 9:15 a.m. followed by the first pitch.

 

Jacob Massey burned NEW Lutheran on the mound and at the plate in a 10-0 win on Friday. Schedule for Saturday's games for the Wolves at Mishicot: 10:00 am Algoma vs Mishicot and 12:30 pm Algoma vs Brillion.

 

The Sturgeon Bay baseball carried their winning ways with them across to Peshtigo, where they beat the Bulldogs 13-8 in Packerland play. They play Chilton and Howards Grove on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.

 

Luxemburg-Casco beat St. Mary Catholic 10-0 on 104.1 WRLU while Southern Door came up empty-handed in two games against Oconto on Friday, losing 9-3 and 3-1. The two teams play each other on Saturday at 10 a.m.

 

Sevastopol plays at Wild Rose after battling Kohler on Friday at 11 a.m.
