Baseball round-up: Southern Door, Kewaunee, Sevastopol all fall late

After area teams learned their postseason fate Thursday afternoon, some of them took to the baseball diamond on Friday for games.

 

A three-run rally in the seventh inning forced extra innings but it was not enough for Southern Door to beat Coleman Friday evening, falling in nine innings 5-4.

 

Valders scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to sneak past Kewaunee on the baseball diamond Friday evening 2-1.

 

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers baseball team avoided a catastrophe late to beat local rival Sevastopol on the road Friday evening 12-10.
