Two teams are moving on together to next week's slate of WIAA Golf Sectional Meets.
The Packerland Conference's reigning player of the year and Kewaunee's Evan Maccaux led the Kewaunee golf team to next week's WIAA Sectional Meet in Division 3 from the Howards Grove Regional. Maccaux captured the top spot with a score of 78, two strokes better than Southern Door's Finley LaVine and Gibraltar's Finn Salm. Sevastopol's Chase Kanapka's 14th place finish (90) also qualified for the sectional meet along with LaVine and Salm. Baylor Elliott (10th, 89), and Henry Annen (24th, 97) also finished in the top 25 for the Storm to qualify for the sectional meet. Local teams placed 12 golfers in the top 30.
The Luxemburg-Casco golf team's score of 333 was good enough for third place overall and a date to next week's sectional meet. James Glampe paced the Spartans with a score of 76 to come in second place overall and three strokes behind the leader. Josh Parins (14th, 84), Landen Delebreau (17th, 86), and Stanley Peot (19th, 87) also finished in the top 20. Sturgeon Bay's Tre Wienke also qualified for the sectional meet at the Luxemburg-Casco regional as an individual qualifier.
