Rockers end successful first week on down note

The Green Bay Rockers ended their first week of the 2025 in first place in their division with a 4-2 record after dropping their Saturday matinee against Wausau 6-3.

Trailing 1-0, the Rockers took the lead in the fourth inning behind two out-producing runs. The Rockers scored once more in the top of the seventh inning after the Woodchucks tied the game on another sacrifice fly. The Woodchucks took over from there, recording four hits and taking advantage of two errors to form a four-run rally the Rockers would have no answer for.

David Ballenilla recorded three hits and Cayden Sheffield added two more to lead the Rockers in the hitting department. Two others recorded at least one hit.
