Track round-up: Kewaunee's Miller reaches podium twice

Area track athletes wrapped up the WIAA State Championships at UW-LaCrosse on Saturday with seven top ten finishes, twice making it on the podium.

 

Both of those podium finishes belonged to Kewaunee Hannah Miller, who took third in the 800m and 4th in the 1600m. Luxemburg-Casco's Mason Trimburger (110m hurdles, 300m hurdles), Algoma's Estella Marrero (pole vault), and Sturgeon Bay's Cedar Tomberlin (triple jump) and Cady Carlson (400m) cracked the top 10 in their respective events.

 

KEWAUNEE

800m: Hannah Miller, 3rd place, 2:15 .56

1600m: Hannah Miller, 4th place, 5.01.40

 

ALGOMA

Pole Vault: Estella Marrero, 7th Place, 9-06

Pole Vault: Brennan Buckman, 12th place, 12-0

 

LUXEMBURG-CASCO

3200m: Claire Duchateau, 16th place, 11:25.50

1600m: Kyan Lynts, 16th place, 4:27.40

110m hurdles: Mason Trimburger, 10th place, 15.46 (qualified for finals), 7th place, 40.05

300m hurdles: Mason Trimburger, 7th place, 40.22 (qualified for finals), 9th place, 15.38

 

STURGEON BAY

Triple Jump: Cedar Tomberlin, 10th, 41-0.25

100m: Ella Tarkowski, 15th place, 13.00

400m: Cady Carlson, 10th place, 59.23 (qualified for finals), 10th place 1:00.20

 

SOUTHERN DOOR

Discus: Cruz Cavillo, 11th place, 147-02

100m hurdles: Elise Jackson, 15th place, 16.36

300m hurdles: Elise Jackson, 18th place, 47.57
