Blizzard edged by Freight

The Fishers Freight avenged their earlier season loss to the Green Bay Blizzard Saturday night, edging their visitors 57-56.

Like their first matchup, the two teams traded scores throughout the half, with most of the drama being saved for the second half. Blizzard quarterback Max Meylor threw two touchdown passes, including one to standout WR TJ Davis, while Freight QB Vincent Espinoza ran for two scores. A blocked extra point gave Green Bay a slim 42-41 edge. Meylor added another rushing TD, and Davis caught his third and fourth touchdowns. Despite a safety and a Freight touchdown pass to Julian Walker, Green Bay quickly answered with another Meylor-to-Davis strike. With 23 seconds left, Fishers stole the victory away from the Blizzard on a last-play touchdown catch by Gourney Sloan.
