Blizzard idle for holiday weekend

The Green Bay Blizzard will have an extra week to prepare for their next game as they sit idle for the holiday weekend.

Last weekend, the Blizzard were outscored 20-7 in the second quarter en route to a 48-28 on the road against the Arizona Rattlers. Arizona jumped to an early lead and maintained control throughout, fueled by multiple touchdowns from Ron Brown Jr. and two rushing scores by QB Dalton Sneed. Despite a few strong drives, Green Bay struggled with turnovers and failed to capitalize on key moments. Max Meylor had a rare off night for the Blizzard, throwing for 122 yards and rushing for another 48 yards for two total scores. He also had two costly turnovers in the end zone that could have turned the tide for the Blizzard.

Next weekend, the Blizzard will stick to the road to play the Quad City Steamwheelers in Moline, Ill.
