The Kewaunee County Lakers scored runs in each of the final three innings to pull away from the Ahnapee Trailblazers 5-2 on Monday.
The two teams traded runs in the early going before a two-run rally by the Lakers sparked what would be the difference in the game. The Trailblazers responded with one run in the bottom of the inning, but the Lakers tallied runs in the sixth and seventh to keep hold of the game. The Trailblazers were victimized by six errors, leading to two unearned runs for the Lakers.
Ethan Werner led the way for the Lakers as he went 2-3 with a double and an RBI. Reagan Doell and Ethan Derenne also drove in runs for the victorious Lakers to support Carson Blohowiak on the mound. Steven Prescott, Justin Massey drove in the runs for the Trailblazers.
