Badgers Hope Their Experience Carries Them To NCAA Finals

The Final Four for the Wisconsin Badgers and Kentucky Wildcats will tip off tomorrow around 8:00 PM from Dallas/Fortworth in one of the most anticipated game ever for Wisconsin Basketball fans. Playing in front of approximately 75,000 fans will certainly be a new experience for most of the players in the Final Four.

How will the super-sized stadium and the crowd effect teams? Kentucky Coach John Calipari alluded to the fact he has a pretty strong feeling as to how his team will come out of the blocks in yesterday’s Final Four Media Day. His freshman laden team is expected to play a little tight in the opening minutes.

The Badgers will obviously be feeling similar emotions but need to settle in quickly if they want to set the tone. UW can play a run and gun style this year more than any other in recent history. However, the slow down inside-out game is much better suited for the Wisconsin Badgers.

Frank “The Tank” Kaminsky has burst on to the national scene as a dominant force in the paint. If Wisconsin can establish him on the block early, Kentucky could be in for a long night.

Badgers Coach Bo Ryan will be coaching in his first ever Final Four. His best quote from media day was in reference to one and done players (college players that declare for the NBA after one year in NCAA Basketball), “…when my mom would give me a pork chop or a piece of meatloaf and I would ask for another piece and she would say, No, one and done.”
