The Wisconsin Badgers finished 7 of 18 from the free throw line in a 49-47 loss to the 13th-ranked Michigan State Spartans in Madison last night. The defensive battle featured a scoreless game for the first four minutes of the ball game.
The Badgers shot just less than 30 percent from the floor, including a dismal three point shooting effort of 8 of 27. Mike Bruesewitz led the Badgers with 10 points.
Despite a weak shooting performance, UW still had a number of chances to win the ball game in the final five minutes. A second half free throw shooting run of 5 for 13 was the Achilles heel however.
