After last night’s “War on the Shore”, the Kewaunee and Algoma girls basketball teams will share the Packerland Conference title for the third straight season. Both teams performed well throughout all four quarters but the Storm stayed in the lead for most of the game and defeated the Wolves 48-36.
Algoma missed junior Kennedy Blahnik who is usually a strong presence in the post but has been out for several weeks after she injured her knee in January. Taylor Schmidt led the Wolves in scoring with a game-high of 15 points in the loss. Kelsey Stangel put in work for the Storm grabbing seven rebounds, blocking two shots and scoring 12 points.
