David H. Chaudoir Sr., 97, of Namur, passed away at home on August 3, 2026. He was born August 25, 1928, in Namur to Harry and Hazel (Englebert) Chaudoir Sr. On May 9, 1951, he married Angela Macco in Duvall. She preceded him in death on January 9 of 2025. David and Angela owned and operated a farm in Namur for many years; he also worked for the county highway department for 30 years, retiring in 1996. David truly appreciated the land and just being outdoors. He loved deer hunting and had his last hunt in 2024. David was very knowledgeable about his Belgian heritage. He enjoyed telling stories and was considered a “walking encyclopedia” of Belgian history. He made several videos and recordings for the Belgian Heritage Center of Door County and for public television. David was also a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Snow Catholic Church in Namur. He is survived by 3 children, David Jr. (Rose) Chaudoir, Dan (Carrie) Chaudoir, and Teri (Jim) Zellmer; 7 grandchildren, Lynn (Phil) Forbes, Todd (Michelle) Chaudoir, Gina Chaudoir, Joe (Carla) Zellmer, Jonathon (Kari Ann) Zellmer, and Andy and (Chelsea) Zellmer; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Ann (Jim) Jeanquart and Donna DeKeyser. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Angela, grandson Ryan and granddaughter Jessica; 2 brothers, Harry Jr. (Helen) Chaudoir and Remie Chaudoir; in-laws, Hillard DeKeyser, Gerald and Mary Jane Macco, and Anita and Melvin Lardinois. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dyckesville. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Church on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of service. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Rex Palaya. Gerald “Jerry” Tilot, 96, of Green Bay, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026, surrounded by his family at Emerald Bay Assisted Living. Jerry was born on March 12, 1930, in Green Bay, WI to William and Mary (Kollross) Tilot and grew up on a farm in Sugar Bush. He graduated from Luxemburg High School, class of 1947. In 1951 he was drafted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Every day while in the service, he received a loving letter from his sweetheart, Marcella “Marcie” Seidl, who he later married on November 21, 1953, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Luxemburg. He worked at the Luxemburg Implement Co and was a volunteer fireman for the Luxemburg Fire Department. He then worked at Wisconsin Public service for 27 years until his retirement in 1992. Jerry was a faithful member of St. Jude Catholic Church, served on the Parish Council and as Trustee. Jerry and Marcie were involved in different Eucharistic Ministries and volunteered for many years at St. Vincent De Paul. Jerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus - Fort Howard Council 5382 and Marquette Assembly 1197 and the 4th Degree Honor Guard. " He received the Catholic Knights, Msgr. Listecki "Servant of the Poor" Award for his long-term involvement with St. Vincent de Paul. Jerry and Marcie were also very involved with the Cursillo Movement. Jerry was still the leader of Eucharistic Ministry at Emerald Bay until the Sunday before he passed! In 2015, Jerry was honored to participate in an "Old Glory Honor Flight. Jerry was a perfectionist and a “jack of all trades”. He enjoyed helping all of his children and grandchildren with multiple home projects. Jerry enjoyed photography and was passionate about genealogy, having visited his Belgian cousin’s multiple times and hosted them fourteen times. Jerry and Marcie also enjoyed attending their grandchildren’s sporting events and polka dancing at various venues around N.E Wisconsin. Jerry is survived by his children, Glen (Kathie), Debbie (Jim Barancyzk), Gary (Donna), Ronald (Connie), Annette (Pat Hoslet), and John (Sheri); fifteen grandchildren, Ryan, Betsy and Tessa, Aaron, Ashley, Lauryn and Ally, Jenni and Phill, Stephanie and Bill, Kristin and Caitlyn, Riley and Bob; nineteen great-grandchildren Olivia, Henri, and Milo, Emily and Ava, Mason, Myles, and Decker, Lincoln and Josephine (JJ), Kayleigh and Beau, Hank, Clara, and Sylvie, Ellie and Emma, Addison and Emmett. He is also survived by his sisters, Arlene Phillips and Sally (Alan) Borley, sister’s in-law Rita Tilot and Muriel Seidl, and step sister-in-law, Angie Servais. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcie; his parents; his stepmother Rose; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Henry and Frances Seidl; his brothers Maurice, Kenneth (Shirley) sister, Jackie (Cyril) VanLaanen; brothers-in-law, Milton Greatens, Ray Phillips, Mike (Lillian) Seidl, Hank (Agnes) Seidl, Leonard (Adeline) Seidl, Harold Seidl; and stepbrother, Joe Servais. Visitation will take place on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division Street, Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Ron Belitz officiating. Full military honors provided by American Legion Post Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. Entombment will be in the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Barbara S. Ludlow, 83, Kewaunee, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 23, 2026. Barbara was born on August 8, 1942, in Iron Mountain, Michigan, to Milton and Hortense Ludlow. During her early elementary school years, her family moved to Kewaunee, Wisconsin, where she spent most of her life and developed deep roots within the community. As a young woman, Barbara helped at her family's Ludlow Clothing Store in Kewaunee while her father was still living. Her strong work ethic and commitment to serving others became hallmarks of her life. Barbara was best known for her many years with the Kewaunee Star newspaper, where she worked as a reporter and columnist. Through her thoughtful writing and dedication to local journalism, she chronicled the people, events, and stories that shaped the community she loved. Even after retiring from her full-time position, Barbara continued writing her column, remaining a familiar and cherished voice to readers until August 29, 2018, when she published her final column. Outside of her career, Barbara embraced life with enthusiasm. During the winter months, she enjoyed bowling and was proud to earn membership of the National 600 Bowling Club in 1974, a testament to her skill and dedication to the sport. Barbara's greatest passion was golf. She was an accomplished golfer who spent countless hours on the course, enjoying both the game and the friendships it fostered. She treasured the many golf trips she shared with friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a love of the game. Barbara will be remembered for her love of her hometown, her passion for storytelling, and her unwavering commitment to preserving the history and everyday life of Kewaunee through her writing. Whether reporting the news, competing on the bowling lanes, or enjoying a day on the golf course, she lived with dedication, warmth, and an appreciation for the people around her. Her words and her friendship touched countless lives, leaving a lasting legacy in the community she so faithfully served. Barbara is survived by her brother, Dennis (Lorraine) Ludlow of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Hortense Ludlow. A Celebration of Life honoring Barbara will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Uptown Banquet Hall. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and celebrate a life well lived. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Mary Kay Messmann and the compassionate staff of Linden Manor for the years of exceptional love, kindness, and care they provided to Barbara. Vernon G. Graf, 83, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on July 31, 2026, at Sturgeon Bay Health Services. He was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Sturgeon Bay to Vernon and Alberta (Rockendorf) Graf. Vernon was a graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School and served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. For many years, Vernon would milk cows every morning, go to work for the day and then milk cows every evening. He worked as a meat cutter at Roy’s Red Owl in Sturgeon Bay and for the Red Owl in Green Bay. He later worked at the Baileys Harbor Market. In his free time, Vernon enjoyed deer hunting. He is survived by his sister: Mary Hoerres of Nevada; sister-in-law: Betty Graf of Sturgeon Bay; nieces and nephews: Cathy, Charlie, Mike, Lori, Tracey, Kim, and Paul. He was preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Alberta Graf; and siblings: Jerry and John Graf, Florence (Charles) Sherry, Ann (Mike) Marchese, and brother-in-law Norman Hoerres. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Corpus Christi Church in Sturgeon Bay. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
